Starting-up Again

This is a typical bay up in the boundary waters. Reeds, rocks and Lilly pads to throw your spinner into hoping for the 5lb + Smallmouth Bass. I got a couple that size and can't wait to get back!

FYI- I found a new hosting service that shows the pictures much bigger. I really don't like how the size images are limited to on this site. I will post the link off to the right.

It is pretty awesome that you go for a walk on a walking trail just down the block from your home and you can get shots you are happy with in the end. This is another shot from my walk this past weekend.

The fireworks in the sky on the 4th of July were not all man-made. As you can see by the sunset in the back of this shot, mother nature did a pretty good job lighting a fire in the sky as well!

Again, my appreciation for flowers is far beyond my knowledge of them. I have no idea what type of flower this is.

This is the obligatory day after the Fourth of July shot. You never would think of them as tools of art, but sparklers are such a cool way to draw with light.

This picture was take on yesterday's walk as well. I was mainly focused on capturing the shadow that the grass was casting on the fencepost when Mr. Bug decided to ehance the shot by landing at the top of the post.

Macroday.com Challenge: Parallel

This turkey feather was attached to a single strand of a spider web. It was taken early in the morning and the sky was amazingly blue (as you can see). The wind made the shot tough because the feather was twirling around a lot.

This picture was taken at an air show Sam and I attended in Minnesota when he was only about 8 months old. He was on my back in a baby backpack enjoying the noise and action all around us.

I really liked the bright colors of the Canadian maple leaf surrounded by the blue and white.
